Welder / Fabricator Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen for Welder/ Fabricators.. Please note that the main base for this role will be Dyce, Aberdeen The Role: Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, Extension Sleeves, Deck Hatches, ROV Panels, Padeyes and Bottle Stands. (Valid coding - Advantageous but not essential) Working hours: Day Shift - Mon, Tues & Wed 7am-5.30pm (10hrs) with Thurs 7am – 4.30pm (9hrs) - Overtime on offer Nightshift - Monday, Tues & Wed 6.30pm-5.00am (10hrs) with Thurs 6.30pm – 4.00am (9hrs) - Overtime on offer Rate of Pay - Days £24 per hour - Nights £28 per hour Overtime (Dependant on experience) Primary Objectives Welding and fabrication in workshop and site. Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural fabrication works and standards. · Act with honesty, integrity and accountability · Ability to work well in a team Qualifications and Experience Requirements : An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years’ experience in the above role. Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include: · Manual Metal Arc (MMA) · Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) · Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG) · Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) · Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding · Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
