Relief Facility Supervisor (Caretaker)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £26,873 - £28,770 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Split Shift)
Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.

The Role
An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Services Division of City Operations, Neighbourhoods and Regulatory Services Directorate as a Relief Facility Supervisor.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have good communication skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, and be capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials/furniture. Caretaking experience in a school or similar environment would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the security of the premises, setting alarms, and general health and safety issues relating to the building.
* Supervise cleaning staff and designated cleaning areas.
* Manage varying workloads and the cleaning of defined areas.
* Flexibility around key events in the school calendar (e.g., remedial works, parents' evenings, governing body meetings, Christmas and summer fairs).
