The Role As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the full project lifecycle, from initial concept to detailed design and site implementation. Your Responsibilities: Lead and deliver mechanical design solutions for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, efficient, and sustainable designs. Take ownership of mechanical calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar software. Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative approach to problem-solving. Conduct site visits to ensure projects align with design intent, regulations, and sustainability targets. Stay ahead of industry trends and regulations to drive best practices and innovation. What You Need A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 8 years of experience in mechanical building services design. A track record of leading mechanical design projects in commercial and residential sectors. Strong knowledge of British Standards, building regulations, and sustainable design principles. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar mechanical design tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
