Title: Senior Engineer- Airworthiness and Technical Services Salary Expectations: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum Location: Any UK office location Closing date is 30th April - however we encourage early applications Frazer-Nash provides Airworthiness and Technical Support services to the UK Military Air Environment (MAE), with in our Systems Integration team to support our defence clients providing the UK with airworthy, safe, sustainable military capability. This is done through the application of a systems engineering and engineering technical services across the aerospace domain. The ideal candidate will provide engineering knowledge to our large team of multi-discipline aerospace engineers across a variety of fixed-wing, rotary- wing and manned and unmanned air systems. Our clients look for support in initial certification and type airworthiness as well as continuing airworthiness and technical delivery of projects. This would suit an engineer with previous experience working within Project Teams, Delivery Teams or Front Line delivery of platforms or equipment. The role represents an opportunity to join an expanding team and lead technical delivery on projects across the aerospace spectrum within defence. You will develop a portfolio of project deliveries, hone your consultancy skills and mentor more junior engineers and graduates. As part of Frazer-Nash Consultancy, you may also have opportunities to work outside aerospace or gain civil experience to widen your skillset further. Essential Requirements: To support these responsibilities, we are looking for someone with an aerospace engineering background who: Is a practitioner in initial or continuing airworthiness Has experience of directing engineering teams as either a S enior NCO or junior engineering officer or civilian equivalent Is working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (C Eng) Has practical technical experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment, in the aerospace industry, including: Certification requirements and compliance; Requirements management; Safety and assurance; Test and acceptance. Exhibits an understanding of the different air safety aspects of an air systems life cycle. Desirable Requirements Holds a degree in a relevant engineering discipline Has previous/current experience as an engineering consultant or civil defence contractor Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
