KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Derbyshire Contract Options: Full Time, Long Term, February 2025 – July 2025 Trust Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming Primary School in the S21 area. We are looking for someone who will contribute to their strong working ethos and continue to build on their success. You will be required to support the class teacher to maintain and develop an appropriate learning environment. We are looking for someone who promotes positive values, attitude and good pupil behaviour. Dealing with conflict and incidents in line with the school’s policy. You will support children’s learning in both 1:1 sessions and group activities. You will predominately be based in KS2 but may be required to help in other year groups when needed. Primary Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Good working knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum Have experience of supporting quality learning experiences for pupils and delivering small group work Follow school policies and procedures with regards to safeguarding and behaviour Work with children of mixed abilities including SEND The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students Showing initiative and asking for direction if needed Primary Teaching Assistant Requirements: Relevant qualifications or teaching assistant experience in the classroom (e.g. CACHE Level 3 Diploma in childcare) UK experience as a teaching assistant An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to complete a new DBS About Us: Trust Education are a dedicated and supportive team who offer a friendly, personable service with collectively over 40 years of experience within the education sector.
