If you are passionate about supporting children's learning and development, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you About the Role: As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support students' learning across the curriculum. Your role will involve providing both individual and group support to help pupils achieve their academic and personal potential. You will also be instrumental in promoting positive behaviour and well-being within the classroom. An important part of your role will be to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they receive tailored support to overcome any barriers to their learning. You will also be involved in running interventions to support students’ academic and emotional development, working closely with the class teacher to track progress and adjust interventions as needed. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the needs of all learners are met. Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups of children, both inside and outside the classroom. Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their specific needs are met. Run and support interventions designed to improve literacy, numeracy, or social and emotional skills. Assist with classroom management and ensuring a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. Help monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teacher. Promote positive behaviour, supporting children’s social and emotional development. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. About You: We are looking for a candidate who: Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Is confident and experienced in providing 1:1 support for children with SEN, as well as running interventions. Is enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about working with young children. Has a good understanding of the curriculum and supporting children with a range of needs. Is patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
