Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Role Overview:
The role of Principal Structural Engineer has been created as part of the consultancy's strategic growth, responding to increasing demand for their forward-thinking structural designs in the North West. This position is vital in driving project success, mentoring a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the continued growth of their Manchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of complex structural engineering projects, providing innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that exceed client expectations.
* Provide strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and technical standards.
* Review and approve detailed designs, calculations, and reports to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
* Mentor and train engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth and maintaining a high-performing team.
* Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and representing the company in client meetings and industry events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Extensive knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods across multiple materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
* Proficient in industry-standard software, with the ability to oversee and review detailed technical outputs.
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng), holding membership with IStructE or ICE, demonstrating a commitment to professional and technical excellence.
* Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor teams while maintaining high technical standards.
* Proven ability to manage client relationships, including negotiating contracts, setting expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.
