Job Title: Apprentice - Patient Choice Facilitator Salary: £23,615 Full Time: 37.5hrs Location: Pomona House - Torquay Part of Devon ICB Job Summary: The Devon Referral Support Service (DRSS) is a dynamic team that works on behalf of GP practices and providers to promote the safe and equitable application of referral pathways, commissioning policies and patient choice. DRSS has two key delivery areas supporting quality and transparency through its referral management service; and promoting best practice through referral pathway review. The Devon Referral Support Service is an integral part of the wider Delivery directorate and enacts the relevant strategic and operational asks of the directorate .To deliver an effective and competent level of clerical support and consistently deliver a patient-focused service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Respond to routine inquiries professionally, referring as needed to GPs, patients, or NHS organizations. Handle phone calls, take messages, and forward them accurately. Escalate complaints, comments, and suggestions in line with policy. Utilize office systems, including e-Referrals and internal databases, ensuring accurate data entry. Follow and update standard procedures for processes and care pathways. Maintain patient data, emails, documents, and shared folders with housekeeping measures. Perform daily triage processes under supervision and ensure timely completion of tasks. Print and send patient letters adhering to Information Governance guidelines. Conduct audits and assist other departments with audits under supervision.
