Welding Engineer
Burnley
Paying up to £53,000 (DOE)
ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to be based out of their Burnley site.
Responsibilities:
1. Specifying and sourcing welding equipment for aerospace applications
2. Defining responsibilities (operations/ME/Special processes) for welding activity in an aerospace environment
3. Writing and validating welding work instructions and procedures
4. Assisting with the development of welding facilities and quality systems to comply with customer and NADCAP requirements and specifications
5. Hosting/leading audit activity for customer and NADCAP audits
6. Assist with the recruitment and training of Operators in an aerospace/NADCAP environment
Experience required:
1. Qualified to International Welding Specialist Level and preferably to Technologist and Engineer level or Equivalent
2. Experience with Laser welding
3. Hold a CSWIP/PCN accreditation or equivalent
4. Engineering experience in TIG, Resistance & Laser Welding aluminium/titanium/steel/Inconel in an aerospace environment
5. Experience as a welding co-ordinator as per ISO 14731 for selecting and administering welding operator qualification testing
6. Experience in proposing NDT requirements for welded fabrications in an Aerospace environment
