Our client is looking to recruit a Nursery Third in Charge.
Third In Charge - Key Responsibilities
1. To support Room Leaders in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum; including support with overseeing planning and record keeping.
2. To ensure compliance with all legislation related to registration with regulatory bodies, special needs, child protection, and Health and Safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
3. To promote and facilitate partnerships with parents/carers and other family members.
4. To assume deputy responsibilities in the absence of the Deputy Manager if required.
5. To provide high standards of quality within the nursery, including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
6. To support the development of good practice regarding special needs and inclusion.
7. To be fully aware of emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery and take full responsibility for opening/closing the nursery as required.
8. To work with the manager to understand and support staff during Ofsted inspections and assist in implementing any recommendations.
9. To work alongside the Manager to monitor and control budgets, maintain petty cash systems, and assess interaction and child-facing skills during the recruitment process.
10. To support the induction procedure for all new staff, and ongoing supervisions and appraisals.
