Role Overview:
We seek an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Power Electronics Centre of Excellence (CoE) team in Hampshire, UK. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled engineer with leadership qualities, capable of inspiring a cross-functional team and building strong international connections.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and direct a team of PEMD engineers and projects to achieve goals.
2. Monitor team and project performance, fostering a performance-based culture.
3. Mentor and coach team members, enhancing technical capabilities.
4. Support the Director in strategy development and execution.
5. Develop technology roadmaps and project plans.
6. Build relationships with engineering and business leaders to drive technology adoption and design methodologies.
7. Promote engineering excellence.
Qualifications:
1. BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 10 years in electronics design and development.
3. At least 3 years of leadership experience.
4. Proven leadership and technical skills.
5. Project management experience.
6. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
7. Ability to learn new skills and knowledge.
8. Hands-on experience in power electronics for safety-critical applications.
9. Broad knowledge of power electronics designs and compliance standards.
10. Experience in diverse cultural settings with global teams.
11. Design for Six Sigma certification.
