Job Description Job Title: Plant and Equipment Engineer – C&I - Submarines Working Pattern: 37 hours Working location: Derby Raynesway The C&I Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. It covers engineers who are performing Development, Systems Engineering and Verification style roles. This is an integration role where the individual will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements. What you will be doing: Interface between external and internal customers, in time providing that Intelligent Customer role to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers and partners. Create an appropriate Enterprise Architecture solution which serves both business and technical needs. Fulfilling an internal capability for Controls and Instrumentation on legacy and new systems alike. Develop product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan Define and deliver robust certification and qualification strategies (for organisations which are design authority). Manage the creation of substantiation evidence, clearance/acceptance documentation that meets the demand for the project. Extract Manufacturing/Installation/ Test and Commissioning requirements from the engineering teams Define configuration hardware requirements to statisfy verification activities. Be the point of contact with the project to support and coach the team regarding C&I. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience Experience in relevant Nuclear domain is preferred but not essential Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate they are proficient in: Siemens Programming (Accreditation to a minimum of L2). AB programming. I ndustrial networking. Instrumentation and Control with a process plant bias. SCADA development. Technical documentation creation and interpretation.
