Senior Project Manager
Chiswick, London – Hybrid 1-2 days a week in the office.
About the role
This is an exciting time to join the new and expanding Change Delivery team as a Senior Project Manager. You will establish, shape and lead the delivery of the more complex projects within the Group Change Portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering on the project outputs within agreed cost, quality and time constraints.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver project outputs to the agreed time, quality and budget constraints.
2. Potentially delivering several projects at the same time, depending on their complexity.
3. Ensure that BIS’s Change Delivery Framework is applied to all projects and that project deliverables comply with the standards set by the EPMO.
4. Work closely with Sponsors/Business Owners to ensure their expectations are managed, there are no surprises, and the required outcomes are achieved.
5. Identify stakeholders and ensuring their interests/needs are understood and met.
6. Establish/shape complex projects and define workstream responsibilities.
7. Define and manage project plans and dependencies across multiple workstreams and with any external suppliers.
8. Hold members of the team accountable for their deliverables.
9. Define and manage project budgets and resource plans.
10. Establish effective project governance, including Project Steering Boards, which you may Chair.
11. Manage issues, risk and ensure timely escalation where necessary.
12. Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs through agreed processes.
13. Manage 3rd party resources and integrate them into the teams ways of working.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
14. Experience using Microsoft Projects (MS Projects)
15. Extensive experience of portfolio/project management within multi-disciplined and commercial environments both as a direct resource and managing others.
16. Demonstrable record of delivering complex projects successfully.
17. Experience managing project teams of 20+ people.
18. Strong leadership and line management skills.
19. High level of stakeholder management and engagement capabilities.
20. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
21. Project Management Qualification such as: APM, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile Certification etc.).
22. Change Management Qualification such as: (APM, Prosci etc.)
