EC has an opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager specializing in video to join our team. In this role, reporting to our Head of Production, you’ll organise the technical delivery of projects and lead our video offering in the technical department. Using technical creativity skills, you will be responsible for ensuring the projects you are working on, are quoted, specified, and delivered on budget and on time; as well as overseeing the overall output of the video department. You would be based in our London office and then delivering in some of the most iconic venues in London, the rest of the UK, and sometimes abroad. Who are we? You have significant demonstrable experience in a video role within the live events industry. You have a strong working knowledge of video technology including LED wall, Projection, camera systems, video control, networking and broadcast. You have experience working on a variety of project types. You are a strong project manager, with the ability to be involved in multiple events simultaneously, working to deadlines. You’re a creative problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet and resolve technical challenges under pressure on site. You have good verbal and written communication skills and can communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients. You have a strong awareness of the role of health and safety in the industry such as risk assessments and advocating for best working practices on site. Day-to-day responsibilities: Project planning Working with our production and agency teams to provide technical support, planning and quotations. Liaising between the Technical, Production, Operations and Warehouse Teams at all times to create a streamlined project flow. Producing equipment lists, technical plans and other relevant documents for events. Monitoring technical budgets for projects to ensure margins are maintained. Producing H&S documentation for events. Act as point of contact for internal or external stakeholders in the event of any changes or additional requests throughout the project. Representing the company at site meetings. Project execution Provide clear and accurate briefings to internal and freelance event technicians. Oversee technical equipment and crew on-site and act as representative of the company, to the client. As a senior member of the production team, act as a point of escalation on site in solving problems and providing solutions. Representing the Company: Assist in marketing projects as requested. Attending trade shows and other industry events as necessary. Undertake client visits and venue visits as directed. Monitoring team members progress and identifying any training required. Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all technical aspects of the event adhere to health and safety regulations, including RAMS and other requirements. Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans in the planning stages of an event. Promote safe working practices at all times when on site. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Lead innovation efforts in the delivery of video on our events, pushing boundaries and exploring new technology to enhance client experiences. Collaborate with other stakeholders within the business to shape our approach to video equipment purchasing in line with industry trends and requirements. Stay updated on the latest technical and production innovations and trends to maintain our competitive edge in the market.
