Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants Required
Location: North and East London
Salary: £95-£105 per day
Working Hours: Monday-Friday - 8.30am-4pm, term time
Start Date: ASAP
Veritas are currently working with a number of primary, secondary, and SEN schools based in North London. These schools are looking for dedicated and resilient Graduate Teaching Assistants with a psychology background to work in full-time roles starting ASAP. They are looking for candidates who will be a positive influence and role model for children and young students. The position will involve supporting students at all levels in a classroom setting.
You will ideally have experience working with young people, and an interest in teaching in the future. Experience or knowledge in working with young people with learning difficulties would be beneficial. You will be empathetic, resilient, and confident with behaviour management.
Responsibilities of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
1. Working proactively to help students achieve their attainment levels.
2. Encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning.
3. Helping to provide a safe environment for children to learn.
4. Assisting the teacher in areas including behaviour management, consistently promoting positive behaviour, and assisting with general learning and development.
Key Skills and Experience Needed:
1. Recent psychology (or related subject) graduate.
2. Strong behaviour management skills.
3. Enthusiastic.
4. Resilient and patient.
5. Desirable: experience working with children or young adults.
