My client, a specialist recruitment company based in Canterbury, is looking to hire several Recruitment Consultants to start in February/March. They are hiring at trainee level and will consider candidates with sales experience as well as those with some recruitment experience seeking a new position.
This position is hybrid, requiring two days a week in the office and three remote. For Trainee Recruitment Consultants, the base salary is £25K, and for those with recruitment experience, a competitive salary can be discussed.
The role is likely to suit recent graduates or individuals with an introduction to B2B sales or recruitment. The office is a five-minute walk from Canterbury West Station, and a driving license is not required to apply.
The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will work with clients (companies looking to hire) and candidates. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Engaging with companies to promote recruitment services.
2. Negotiating and agreeing on terms of business.
3. Conducting client conversations to understand their business and role requirements.
4. Advertising roles and searching for candidates using various methods, including databases, referrals, marketing, LinkedIn, and job boards.
5. Assessing candidates through CV screening, phone screening, and interviews (phone, face-to-face, and video).
6. Managing the recruitment process, including booking interviews, scheduling meetings, and providing feedback.
Trainee Recruitment Consultants are expected to take an interest in the market they recruit for, conduct research, and stay updated on industry news.
The role can be described as 40% sales, 40% marketing, and 20% HR. It's important to be comfortable in a targeted sales environment, as you will be measured on sales figures and expected to engage in high levels of activity daily.
