Cash Accountant Location: Tachbrook Park Department: Finance Reports to: SFA Cash and Banking Lead Are you looking for an opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes, drive efficiencies, and contribute to continuous improvement? Calor is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cash Accountant to join our Finance team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our cash allocation and financial control processes. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the daily processing of unallocated cash to customer ledgers, ensuring accuracy and accountability in data entry. Lead and manage the daily cash process, from data entry to query handling and resolution. Own the day-to-day cash administration process, ensuring seamless operations. Provide cover for the Treasury Accountant and deputise for the SFA Cash and Banking Lead when required. Advise and support the cash team and wider business on transactional issues through to resolution. Update cash KPIs to monitor and analyse unallocated cash, providing independent insights. Take a lead role in anniversary billing and refund processes, driving efficiencies and process improvements. Strengthen and improve financial controls, ensuring compliance with group guidance and internal audit requirements. Act as the key point of contact for external and internal auditors regarding cash-related matters. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, participating in new system implementations and process enhancements. Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Essential: Part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge. Understanding of financial control environments and double-entry accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level minimum). Strong time management, workload prioritisation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to reconcile cash balances, investigate discrepancies, and resolve transactional errors. Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders. Process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify efficiencies. Experience using SAP and Salesforce. Experience working with large data sets and external auditors.
