FIXED TERM CONTRACT (12 months) Be the lead Producer of Breaking Barriers projects – developing approaches, liaising with partners, team, participants, and managing public engagement with projects as appropriate to each project.
Job Description
Main Purpose of the job:
* Lead Producer of Breaking Barriers projects: developing approaches, liaising with partners, team, participants, and managing public engagement. Some projects will tour to schools, venues, and community contexts with partnership support.
* Manage budgets, draft contracts, write copy to support communications and promotion, and handle administrative tasks.
* Support partnership liaison and project fundraising.
* Collect data, support reporting and evaluation for each project.
The candidate will work closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Producer on overall planning but will lead on the delivery of assigned projects. These could include producing and touring performance work in theatres, schools, outdoor venues, film, festivals, or audio projects across Greater Manchester and England.

This role is full-time, but we are open to discussing flexible days if needed. It is a fixed-term 12-month post with potential extension.

Annual salary: £32,000 pro rata (based on 5 days/week)
Status: 12-month full-time contract PAYE (or 37.5 hours/week)
Holiday Entitlement: Statutory holidays of 25 days plus public bank holidays
Job Requirements
* At least five years' experience in producing professional and/or community projects.
* Experience in successfully managing complex projects from start to finish.
* Understanding of diverse artists' practices and processes.
* Willingness to travel and work at site-specific locations, sometimes outdoors.
* Experience working with partners, creating systems for funder monitoring and reporting.
* Financial literacy and experience managing project budgets of various sizes.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
* Commitment to social engagement and equality.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to respond promptly to time-sensitive matters.
* Experience in copywriting and proofreading.
* Understanding of GDPR.
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Executive Producer and Artistic Director on planning, budgeting, scheduling, and production.
* Act as the main contact for all project-related matters with teams, partners, participants, and community members, ensuring effective communication.
* Lead all production processes.
* Manage logistical arrangements like accommodation, catering, and travel.
* Support fundraising, partnership communication, and lead funding applications where appropriate.
* Stay informed on best practices and current trends in socially engaged arts nationally.
* Develop marketing and communication strategies until the Marketing Manager is in place.
* Manage data, support reporting, and evaluation activities.
* Ensure health & safety compliance and create risk assessments for project delivery.
