One of our primary school's in Bishop Auckland is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children at the start of their educational journey. About the Role: As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with our teachers to support children in their learning, both individually and in small groups. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, helping children with their tasks, and providing additional support for children with specific learning needs. You will also encourage positive behavior, support emotional development, and contribute to creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities. Support students with their academic progress and personal development. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers. Promote the well-being and safety of all students. About You: Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team. A teaching assistant qualification (or working towards one) is desirable but not essential. A commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential. Why?
