This is your opportunity to play a part in this transformation We are looking for a Reinstatement Specialist to support our Network Construction team to successfully complete large scale Mains renewal scheme activity as allocated within the regional area. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW As the Reinstatement Specialist, your key role will primarily be responsible for accurately measuring excavations and arranging for the appropriate reinstatement to take place across multiple locations within the region. This is done by ensuring the correct dimensions and surface materials are provided to the chosen reinstatement provider. Within this role, you would be responsible for successfully communicating and liaising with the programme team for permit extensions and off-hiring of traffic management once reinstatement is complete. The role has responsibility for reviewing, challenging, and agreeing defects with external bodies such as the council / Highways Agency, with escalations referred to the NC Reinstatement Manager. This role does not have direct people management or supervisory responsibility; however, it needs to interact effectively with the team, and you will also need to possess the ability to influence. Key Accountability: Effectively communicate with the chosen reinstatement contractor to provide dimensions/material types and time scales for completion of the reinstatement. Effective communication within the team and with both internal and external stakeholders, including the Highways Agency, contractors, and customers. Responsible for ensuring that reinstatement submissions to the Highways Agency and our chosen reinstatement contractors are accurate and on time, avoiding delays for the construction teams and fines from the Highways Agency where permits overrun. This activity is key due to the scale of the work. Problem solving and decision making on site, coming up with practical solutions and implementing these efficiently. There are likely to be complex challenges on site, and this role is responsible for finding solutions. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE For this role, the right candidate will have a full driving license and ideally possess your National Water Hygiene and NRSWA qualifications, with significant experience working within the utility-based industry. You’ll have good communication skills and the ability to build successful working relationships as you will be working as part of a team. The right skills and experience are important.
