Salary: £15.91 per hour (Qualified candidate)
Contract: Full-time, permanent - (39 hours per week)

Confined Space Industrial Services Chargehand- The Role
As one of our Chargehands, you will play a vital role in what we are famous for. You will be able to work independently and take on the responsibility for the running and management of both small and large projects, exposing you to an interesting variety of work across iconic businesses.
You will be provided with a structured development plan, and assistance is available via your Supervisor or Operations Manager. This includes working with and managing multiple onsite subcontractors, delivering on exciting and complex projects/jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Supervisor or Operations team in the planning and managing of projects/works ensuring that all appropriate resources, equipment, and materials are in place to support delivery, start, finish, and travel times as agreed per each job.
2. Have in place any necessary permits required prior to work starting.
3. Ensure that relevant job pack information and RAMS/SEPA notes are read, and where appropriate, signed prior to any works commencing, returning to the office upon completion.
4. Engage and interact regularly with the client to allow for any changes or decisions to be made, including attending daily client meetings if required.
5. Communicate with colleagues and clients on any job changes to keep everyone up to date on progress, while keeping track of any additional time and equipment or materials used.
6. Resolve or raise any colleague or safety issues with the Operations Manager or Management Team when deemed necessary.
7. Maintain high levels of customer service and find opportunities to improve the customer relationship to ensure longer-term partnerships.

1. Organise workloads in a structured and proactive way.
2. Deal with multiple activities at the same time while remaining calm and on top of things.
Confined Space Industrial Services Chargehand- What we need from you:
Key Skills and Experience:
1. A full UK driving licence.
2. You must be physically fit and healthy to pass a medical and able to get security clearance at MOD sites.
3. High Risk Confined Space Certification and Emergency Rescue.
4. Water Jetting Association Certification.
5. Previous management of teams or subcontractors experience.
6. Highly organised and capable of successfully planning and delivering work on time for self, client, team, and wider colleagues.
7. Proven commitment to and ability to deliver consistently high levels of work and customer service.
8. Pro-active approach to plan and balance busy and quieter times.
9. Well-developed interpersonal skills and self-awareness, with the ability to work with different groups of people.
Please Note: Due to the nature of the role and its environment, you must be physically fit and undergo a fitness test in order to progress and confidently use the equipment.
