A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Corporate Finance Team, in the role of Group Accountant reporting to the Head of Finance Planning and Analysis. This role will provide maternity cover for the current post-holder on a fixed term / secondment basis for 12 months.
As Group Accountant, you will lead a small team responsible for the collation and coordination of the group management accounts, development of the group financial statements, and supporting the external audit process.
Following the successful implementation of a new finance, HR, and procurement system, you will play a key role in maximising the benefit of the new system through improved reporting and financial control.
The ideal candidate:
1. Has experience in coordinating and producing financial statements complying with accounting standards
2. Has experience of dealing with external auditors and managing audit engagements
3. Is a strong communicator at all levels
4. Demonstrates team leadership
5. Has experience of supporting change management
