We are looking for a Assembly Team Leader (Sensors) to supervise, manage and motivate our Guidance Marine production team daily. The preferred location for the position is in Leicester, GB.
What you will be doing
This role involves coordinating team activities, monitoring workflow efficiency, and fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
As a Assembly Team Leader (Sensors) your main responsibilities will include:
* Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
* Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet production schedules and targets
* Lead and support a team of production technicians, providing guidance and training as required
* Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet company and industry standards
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
* Track and report production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and waste reduction
* Work closely with other departments, including Logistics, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to optimize production workflow
* Encourage and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
* Manage team performance, conduct evaluations, and provide constructive feedback
* Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and employee records
* Support the team with the assembly of products when required
* Any other related duties assigned to them by their line manager
What do we expect the ideal candidate to demonstrate?
* A background in mechanical assembly and/or wiring
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably production management software
* Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
* Demonstrable skills in similar assembly and testing environments
* Proven ability to solder in line with IPC standards
* The aptitude to pay high attention to detail and work to specified local work instructions
* A keen eye for detail with a proactive approach towards problem resolution
