We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home.

* Are you computer literate with experience using CAD and Building Information Modelling software, specifically Autodesk Revit Architecture?

What you'll be doing:
* Prepare and deliver comprehensive Light Gauge Steel Frame System drawings to clients using Autodesk Revit Architecture, aligned with current Building Information Management (BIM) standards and practices.
* Conduct structural and thermal calculations using Knauf Structural and Thermal Software to ensure compliance with building designs and site-specific requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of issued drawings, calculations, and supporting documentation, ensuring adherence to compliance and quality standards.
* Analyse and resolve on-site design challenges by recommending effective solutions and appropriate products.
* Provide technical support via phone to both internal teams and external clients regarding Exterior Wall Systems.
* Collaborate closely with Research & Development, Marketing, and Industry teams on current and future innovation projects, contributing technical insights and data.
* Continuously develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of exterior systems and solutions.
* Manage and update product libraries along with applicable standards and documentation.
* Create training materials and deliver or support training sessions to promote product and system knowledge.

What we'd love for you to have:
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Computer Aided Design [CAD] and Building Information Modelling - Autodesk Revit Architecture software, Microsoft ‘Word’, ‘PowerPoint’ and ‘Excel’.
* Structured problem evaluation and problem solving skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a team or own initiative.
* Able to read Architectural and Structural engineering drawings in both 2D and 3D.
* Ability to carry out structural engineering queries using calculation and design with high level of attention to detail
