WHAT TO EXPECT Working full-time from our St Neots facility the Main function of the Product Development Engineer is to Design, develop, and test hydraulic couplings and connectors for fluid transfer applications. This includes optimising designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability while collaborating with cross-functional global teams to support the success of the product line. Key responsibilities: Design and analyse hydraulic quick-disconnect couplings and UQD & UDQB components for improved manufacturability and cost optimisation. Develop and revise global standards for product designs. Plan and execute projects with global teams, including creating execution schedules and supporting business cases. Oversee prototype manufacturing, coordinate validation testing, and conduct forensic analysis. Provide technical writing for global standards and respond to the needs of the commercial organisation. Apply engineering and Six Sigma tools such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE for problem-solving and process improvement. ABOUT YOU Required Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. 5-7 years of engineering experience in product development. Willingness to travel 10-20%. Required Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (Experience with PTC Creo (preferred) Experience in the design of hydraulic quick-disconnect couplings and UQD & UDQB components. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools Strong problem-solving skills using engineering methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and DOE. A practical, hands-on approach to product development.
