RF Test Engineer
A leading electrical manufacturing company have an immediate requirement for a RF Test Engineer to join them at their rural offices in Powys / Herefrodshire

Location: Presteigne, LD8 2YT – please note the offices are in a rural location with no regular public transport.
Salary: Circa £35,000 – £40,000
As RF Test Engineer you will be responsible for generating and maintaining ATE and Labview programmes for the electrical and RF testing of connectorised PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to new and existing customers with regards to the electrical and RF testing of connectorised PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
* Validate customer designed data packs, in particular the feasibility of providing electrical testing of connectorised PCBs and other electronic assemblies; providing feedback to customers if changes to the test specification are required.
* Generate ATE programmes using Labview based on customer generated test specifications that produce automated pass / fail results, that store test results (S-parameters) in a secure network location and that produce a test report that can be sent to the customer with the shipment of the product.
* Debug, amend and improve existing ATE programmes to ensure any emerging issues are rectified.
* Compile executable files that can be used by the RF Test Technician.
* Design suitable test-fixtures and other resources to enable the use of the ATE programmes.
* Generate work instructions / assembly route cards for the testing of connectorised PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
* Generate Microwave Office tools for the evaluation of S-parameters on a case-by-case basis.
* Train the RF Test Technician in the use of new and existing ATE programmes
* Other duties as required to form part of the technical team
Qualifications and Experience:
* Educated in electrical / electronic engineering to degree standard or above
* Holding a recognised accreditation in programming Labview and if possible, Microwave Office
* IT literate, specifically email (Office), Word and Excel
* Experience in supervising internal and external resources
* Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines
* Self-starter with can do attitude, willing to work in a challenging environment
