HR Manager PPG Industries Birstall Join a global organisation in an exciting and challenging role, with significant influence in our UK & Ireland HR team. You will deliver comprehensive HR services at plant level, ensuring alignment with the HR Business Services strategic goals and compliance with local regulations. You will emphasise local service delivery, with a significant focus on an employee’s lifecycle within the organisation. You will report to the HR Business Services Country Leader. LI-hybrid Hybrid: working three days in the office Key Responsibilities Hiring and Onboarding: Supports managers in preparing job descriptions and participates in interviews and short list candidates. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into our organisation Compensation: Advise managers and HRBPs regarding compensation changes due to employee movements, P&M employee wages ranges and increases. Continuous Improvement: Lead HR process improvements, standardisation and transformations ER/LR: Maintain regular contact with local managers, including Site/Plant Managers, provide coaching and legal advice on employment matters to ensure compliance with UK legislation Performance Management: Support local goal setting; Clarify midyear performance activities upon request / ensuring compliance and support on year end ratings Talent Management and Engagement: Provide insights into local talents for regional or global talent reviews; Provide insights into local talents for succession planning; Facilitate engagement survey result sharing, action planning and Bottom Quartile management Qualifications 10 years in a HR Manager/HRBP role in a plant or manufacturing environment 5 years of experience applying UK legislation and regulations Experience of Union an advantage.
