The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering DBT’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Framework (2024-28) commitments, aligned to our departmental People Strategy, aiming to enhance opportunity, fairness and belonging for all our people, in all our locations.
You will provide a range of support across the team and have the opportunity to get involved in various pieces of work, including supporting the delivery of cross cutting projects across the Employee Experience Team, building relationships with D&I networks and leading the planning stages of department-wide events.
As an Employee Experience and Engagement Officer, you will work as a flexible team-player to support the delivery of the D&I Framework actions. Responsibilities will include supporting project management priorities, planning events and managing a shared mailbox by producing high quality and timely responses. This role also offers the opportunity for varied and innovative work with stakeholders across DBT, including building strong relationships with our employee D&I networks.
You will join a high-performing supportive team and will work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues across DBT to deliver in fast-moving and often changing circumstances. You will be supported by a friendly team who prioritise inclusion, well-being and learning and development.
This is a pivotal time to join the team as we start scoping and developing our year two actions for DBT’s D&I framework.

As an Employee Experience and Engagement officer, your responsibilities will mainly include the following:
- Supporting the project management and planning for the team's D&I initiatives.
- Supporting the team to deliver events, including managing event logistics and recording clear and accurate meeting minutes.
- Managing the shared mailbox by drafting clear and timely responses to questions, using strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Working with the wider team to support key priorities, including coordinating tasks effectively and remaining flexible to changes.
- Communicating confidently and clearly with a diverse range of individuals, to build and maintain relationships.
