Condition Monitoring Engineer - About the role:
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Condition Monitoring Engineer covering primarily the Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. You will need to be highly organised, self-motivated and well presented with the ability to communicate at all levels.
The role involves visiting client's premises where you will be expected to work safely and in accordance with workplace rules and regulations. This can often involve lone working on client's manned sites.
The role does require extensive UK wide travel including overnight stays. Home working and occasional weekend work will be required.
Role Requirements
1. Condition Monitoring Qualified.
2. A recognised mechanical qualification.
3. A good understanding of plant and machinery.
4. The ability to use basic mechanical tools.
5. Be capable of identifying electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, compressors, etc.
6. A good knowledge of mathematics & their relationship with engineering.
7. Be capable of undertaking wiring tasks in simple control panels that incorporate basic system controllers and microcontrollers.
8. An understanding of sensing and measuring devices for vibration, temperature, sound, voltage, current, pressure and flow.
9. Fully computer literate including the use of Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, E-mail browsers Internet Web' browsers and ideally some mechanical and electrical software applications applicable to the engineer's position.
10. You will be an enthusiastic, flexible engineer who can provide a professional service to blue chip clients throughout the UK.
Role Responsibilities
1. Condition based monitoring services (incorporating vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil sampling & motor testing).
2. Installation and servicing of fixed continuous monitoring systems & automated lubrication systems.
3. Lubrication services on all rotating components.
