As a Technical Services Manager, you will manage all aspects of the technical requirements within the Hygiene and Lab teams, to ensure compliance to the site Food Safety and Quality Management System. You will manage a team to deliver against objectives. You will actively support the site and Technical department in the achievement and retention of BRC certification, other third party audits, and internal audits, whilst driving improvements. What you’ll be doing - includes: Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed. Supporting a behavioural safety culture highlighting positive and negative behaviour, ensuring teams works in a safe manner following company guidelines, escalating accidents and incidents in the appropriate way. Drive a food safety quality culture through engagement and continuous improvement to maintain and improve the safety, authenticity, legality, and quality of products manufactured on site. Manage quality management systems on site relating to the Laundry, Pest Control and Technical facilities and Lab/Testing if required. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of product quality/food safety. Overall responsibility for the Hygiene Management system and contracts to ensure site compliance to hygiene standards. Effectively manage team and drive colleague engagement through regular communication, performance reviews, feedback and goal setting. Manage any personnel matters in a timely manner – including absence management, or employee relations matters. Work with HR stakeholders to identify and develop talent, and coach colleagues to support future succession planning. Working with peers and support functions to drive forward engagement, culture and performance at site. What we need from you: Essential: Food Hygiene Level 3. HACCP Level 3. Demonstrable experience in a food industry technical role etc I.T and office-based systems. Knowledge of BRC standards and requirements. Previous demonstrable experience of leading a team Desirable: Degree or equivalent in relevant technical discipline Knowledge of H&S within a business. RSPH qualification or other pest qualification
