Join us as a Lead Business Analyst and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity As Lead Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization achieves its goals by leading and managing the analysis of data, processes, and systems. You will manage a small team of Business Analyst resources to ensure successful identification, prioritisation and delivery of specific programmes and projects across Fera. What you’ll be doing: Responsible for planning and guiding analysis, identifying options, recommending solutions, and managing change in alignment with organizational goals and strategy. Effectively managing risks, actions, issues, decisions, and lessons learned, as well as identifying and appropriately managing stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Analysing all aspects of the business’s operating model; projects may relate, for example, to information and software systems, operational processes, efficient use of space, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Engage in all aspects of change implementation, including challenging, training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues in project management, planning, and data interpretation skills. Ensuring that both you and the team will understand the current organisational situation, identify future needs, and create solutions to help meet those needs. Understand full requirements of programmes services and projects; understand what resources (staff, facilities, equipment) teams need to efficiently deliver these services and projects. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and the sector it operates in, as you'll be developing its functions, services, and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders. What we’re looking for: An experienced Business Analyst with strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship skills to lead and develop a small team of Business Analysts. You will have strong knowledge and experience of working within a change programme environment to deliver process efficiencies and business improvements. You will have knowledge of and use industry proven tools to support your analysis and implementation practices. A strong understanding of how to use data and analysis to create business cases for change; proposing changes to be implemented, mapping associated benefits, and developing benefit realisation plans. Knowledge of Project Management, and data analysis tools to ensure successful delivery of change. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving business challenges. An effective communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including influencing and persuading senior colleagues. Expertise in numeracy and advanced Excel skills for analysing large datasets and interpreting findings. Proven ability to confidently present findings in a clear and understandable format for diverse audiences.
