Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR advisor within our divisional People and Organisational Development team.
The Senior HR Advisor role will work closely with ER specialist, Associate HR Business partner and People Business Partner to support the delivery of a professional HR service to their areas. This role is for the Divisional cluster of Medicine and Integrated Care, including Finance and Communications. A key function of the role is to advise managers on employee relations matters, with a focus on developing the skill and capacity of managers to empower them to manage people issues effectively and independently.
Main duties of the job
* Provide advice and support to line managers on a range of human resource management issues including change management and individual employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance management, poor performance and attendance and workplace dispute management.
* Develop the skill and capacity of managers to empower them to manage people issues effectively and independently.
* Support the review, development and implementation of workforce policies, procedures, tools, training and quality improvement systems.
Your office will be mainly based at St Mary's Hospital which is situated in the heart of Paddington, West London. This role will have a mix of working at the office and from home, with some working across our other hospital sites, as required.

Person specification
Education/ Qualifications
* Graduate or person with significant relevant experience
* CIPD level 7 (or equivalent qualification)
Experience
* Proven employee relations experience, and experience of dealing with complex and challenging cases
* Development and delivery of HR related training
Skills / Abilities / Knowledge
* Analytical skills to highlight issues and areas of concern
* Developed knowledge across a wide range of workforce procedures and practices
* Up to date knowledge of employment law and demonstrable experience of interpreting and applying terms and conditions of an organisation
* Computer awareness and knowledge of HR systems as well as being familiar with Word
Desirable criteria
* Experience of advising on TUPE cases
