We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Weighbridge Administration Assistantwho has excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills with good office administrative skills.
Working as the Administrator / Weighbridge Administration Assistant, you will operate the weighbridge remotely from the office, inputting the information into the system and issuing the driver with the correct paperwork. A weighbridge is purpose built large set of scales that is used to weigh an entire road vehicle. By weighing the vehicles empty and then when fully loaded, the weight of the load carried by the vehicle can be calculated. This is an office based administrative role and will require you to be IT literate with excellent customer service and administrative skills.
As the Administrator / Weighbridge Administration Assistant, you will join the customer services team and will need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Administrator / Weighbridge Administration Assistant:
1. Operate the computerised weighbridge, weighing all incoming and outgoing vehicles
2. Help to promote the department services and assist with maintaining the customer base
3. Liaise with all drivers generating necessary paperwork for goods in and out
4. Assist where necessary with haulage planning in liaison with the Transport Schedule
5. Deal with customer queries both over the telephone and face to face, liaising with appropriate internal departments to resolve
6. Ensure that the key customer service elements are applied at all times; listen, sympathise, take action, rectify and follow up
7. General office administration; to include monitoring and updating customer database, letter/report writing, photocopying, faxing, filing/archiving and minute taking/typing
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have the following:
8. Will have previous experience in an administration role
9. A self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running
10. Excellent attention to detail
11. Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
12. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
13. Use own initiative and work autonomously
14. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make logical decisions
15. Great team player
16. Weighbridge experience would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
