Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated staff nurse to join our friendly, busy team. The successful applicant will be based in the Women's Health Unit in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital but will be expected to work at other sites within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board CTMUHB) as required. This is an exciting role for the successful applicant. The post holder will undertake delegated duties, with supervision and mentorship, and following a period of training and completion of core competencies. This role will involve cross site working with CTMUHB. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months due to - meet the needs of the service. Main duties of the job The post holder will participate in the provision of a high quality and comprehensive Women's, Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health services as part of the multi disciplinary team, within the Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy Unit. The post holder will work within the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital as required, and may be requested to work in other areas within service e.g. EPAU/GDAU. The post holder will be given the opportunity to acquire extra skills necessary to function as an independent practitioner. The post holder has the freedom to act within established parameters, work is managed rather than supervised. The post holder is required to act independently within UHB and professional guidelines, referring to supervisory management as appropriate.
