Job Description

To work at 83 locations throughout West Lothian to assist members of the public crossing the road at key times when students are travelling to and from school. Full training and uniform will be provided, and staff will operate within the Council's health and safety and all other policies and procedures.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
Locations and Hours
1. Crossing Patrol Guide at Mains Road at footpath to Merker Terrace: 10 hours per week for 38 weeks (Mon-Thu: 08:00-09:00, Fri: 08:00-09:00)
2. Crossing Patrol Guide at East Calder Primary School: 10 hours per week for 38 weeks (Mon-Thu: 08:00-09:00, Fri: 08:00-09:00; Mon-Thu SPLIT: 15:00-16:00, Fri SPLIT: 12:00-13:00)
3. Crossing Patrol Guide at Bathgate Academy: 10 hours per week for 38 weeks (Mon-Thu: 08:00-09:00, Fri: 08:00-09:00; Mon-Thu SPLIT: 15:00-16:00, Fri SPLIT: 12:00-13:00)
4. Crossing Patrol Guide at Whitburn Area Housing Office: 10 hours per week for 38 weeks (Mon-Thu: 08:00-09:00, Fri: 08:00-09:00; Mon-Thu SPLIT: 15:00-16:00, Fri SPLIT: 12:00-13:00)
