About the Role
As a DevOps intern, you will collaborate with experienced DevOps engineers on projects involving automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), cloud infrastructure, and system monitoring. This role will help you gain exposure to the latest tools and practices in DevOps while building a strong foundation in the field.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in automating deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
2. Help monitor and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
3. Assist with configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
4. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment.
5. Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
6. Implement and monitor system performance, reliability, and security best practices.
7. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and deployment issues.
8. Conduct research on the latest DevOps practices and suggest improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitHub.
3. Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
4. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
5. Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
6. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
9. Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
