Senior Manager - Tech Infra Program Management, EMEA DCD
DESCRIPTION
The EMEA AWS Infrastructure Data Center Delivery team is looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Infrastructure Program Management (TIPM). This role will lead a team of TIPMs to deliver capacity across 2-3 EMEA clusters as well as drive innovative infrastructure programs and new initiatives to improve capacity utilization and availability in existing data centers.
The role can be based out of London or Dublin.

Key job responsibilities
The role involves leading a team of delivery TIPMs and partnering with various stakeholder teams during data center delivery:
1. Real Estate to support the feasibility and selection of new sites;
2. Energy to ensure suitable grid connection is available;
3. Design Engineering to coordinate project specific inputs, constraints and risks into designs;
4. Procurement to secure on time delivery of critical equipment;
5. Construction Management to track budget & progress;
6. Operations to complete the project with successful handover.
On the strategic programs, this leader works closely with Data Center Engineering, Data Science, Operations and Business development teams to identify areas of improvement, drive design enhancement programs that continually raise the bar for operational standards in our Data Centers, with particular focus on Colocation data centers across EMEA.
This leader is also responsible for executive communications for their programs and the business implication from capacity perspective.
As a successful candidate, you will have people management experience, be able to build trust and relationships with various senior stakeholders, and have great problem-solving skills and experience in program management of technical initiatives. You are passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business, have a strong delivery record and experience in driving execution in a cross-functional and ambiguous environment, backed by analysis and data. Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments is a plus.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 8+ years of program management experience, in capital projects/physical infrastructure or mission critical environments.
2. 5+ years of people management experience.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing large scale budgets (e.g., building infrastructure projects).
4. Industry experience across either data center, networking engineering or construction management in mission critical environments: Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Structural etc.
5. Experience of mission critical design, construction and fit out projects.
6. Experience dealing effectively with internal and external customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
7. Degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or other related fields.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience with data center technologies and interfacing with large technical teams.
2. Demonstrable experience leading projects related to infrastructure development, expansion, and capacity planning.
3. Experience managing a team of Technical Program Managers or technical teams.
4. Background in Data Centre Infrastructure design, operations or delivery.
5. Bachelor's Degree or similar advanced professional degree.
