Early Years Officer

Salary: £32,010 - £37,620 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Early Years Officer to join our team at Echline Primary School. You will be warm and friendly, a team player and will enjoy working alongside others.
\n
The Early Years Officer will lead a team consisting of 4 Early Years Practitioners, one Early Years assistant and an Early Years Domestic.
\n
The successful applicant must demonstrate experience in forming good relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community. Through the recruitment process, they will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, commitment, initiative, optimism and flexibility to their work. Previous experience of an being an Early Years Officer is essential with the ability to demonstrate a robust knowledge and understanding of the planning process. Experience in leading the Peep Learning Together Programme is also desirable.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
