Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been re-engaged by a major North Devon employer to assist in their search for a Payroll Assistant, on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is offered as a full-time contract and works with a business that has a major stronghold in the services sector and now operates on an international scale.
The business offers a generous hybrid working policy, which could see the successful candidate completing the majority of hours on a remote basis. Reporting into an experienced payroll manager, within a vibrant and supportive finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing the in-house UK payrolls.
Key responsibilities to include:
1. Be the first point of call for any payroll and pension related queries
2. Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
3. Process monthly payrolls via BACS in an accurate and timely manner
4. Upload pension data and provide detailed payroll information
5. Ad-hoc duties including the preparation and inputting of new starters and leavers details.
The successful candidate will have excellent prior payroll experience and be up-to-date in the current payroll and pension legislations. Candidates should possess good general MS Office experience to include proficient use of Excel. This is a role that will call for strong multi-tasking, exceptional internal/external communication skills, and an excellent attention to detail. ACIPP Technician, or equivalent, qualification is desirable but by no means essential. A desire to do the job in a timely and meticulous manner is just as important.
