Job summary We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Neurology Team. The base for this role is to be confirmed, but the successful individual will work around the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area. They will join an enthusiastic and supportive multi-disciplinary neurology team in providing high quality care and rehabilitation. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people with progressive neurological conditions. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), offering a supportive and proactive environment with opportunities for supervision, training and peer support. We work closely with Stroke Early Supported discharge and primary care home colleagues. Main duties of the job As an Occupational Therapist working across a variety of clinical areas you will be committed to promoting recovery and well-being, whilst empowering service users to self-manage and maximise their independence using health coaching techniques and meaning activity centred around an individuals goals. Working autonomously at a level that is appropriate to clinical competencies and within scope of professional practice which combines a level of assessment, intervention and on-going referrals. To provide training sessions for staff, families and carers as well as external agencies as required. To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide proactive and reactive services. Contribute to the continuous evaluation of the service to ensure it is fit for purpose and increases choice through audit and research.
