Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising transportation routes and ensuring efficient logistics operations. This position requires a strong person that is able to think on their feet and work as part of a team.
Duties
1. Booking Daily Lidl, Costco & Wholesale Market Deliveries
2. Help Plan Nightly Delivery Routes
3. Help Plan Daily Local Collections & Deliveries
4. Help With Building Vehicle Load Plans
5. Booking VBS Container slots at Tilbury, London Gateway, Southampton & Felixstowe
6. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of transport operations.
7. Communicate effectively with customers to address queries and provide updates on delivery schedules.
8. Utilize IT tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Sheets to manage documentation and reporting.
9. Maintain accurate records of transport activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Shift Pattern
1. Tuesday To Saturday Alt Monday x 1 Vacancy available
2. Sunday To Thursday Alt Friday x 1 Vacancy available
Experience
1. Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Outlook & Google Sheets.
3. Experience in supply chain management or logistics is highly desirable.
4. Familiarity with customer service principles to effectively manage client relationships.
5. Previous experience booking VBS slots at Tilbury, London Gateway, Southampton & Felixstowe ports.
6. Previous experience in an office environment is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
