Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Category Buyer to join our dynamic team. This role will support the execution of all aspects of Direct categories for Victrex with a specific focus on raw materials and packaging. In this role you will need to develop category plans that include cost saving and productivity targets and measures, conducting market analysis, managing vendor relationships and key internal stakeholder engagement for these categories.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
* Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate performance.
* Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a direct buying role.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
