The role will require you to be responsible for any maintenance both planned and reactive on sites across the Highlands, the role is based at Cameron Barracks but periodic attendance at Fort George Ranges, Tain, Balmacara and Dundonnell Lodge will be required. The successful candidate will be a good team player working within a small but dedicated team also with the ability to work alone or with minimum supervision. Days of work: Monday to Friday On Call Duties required: Overtime applicable Hours of work: 37 per week Shifts run between: 08:00 - 17:30 Main Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair electrical systems per IET Wiring Regulations
* Support the team with major and minor maintenance tasks
* Ensure site safety, adhering to Health & Safety protocols
* Conduct risk assessments and follow safe work systems
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations
* Complete documentation using IT and paper-based systems
* Travel to regional sites as required throughout the Highlands
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills, including use of mobile devices
* Experience in a commercial environment focused on quality and compliance (desirable)
Essential Criteria
* Recognised electrical apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
* Electrician, Approved Electrician or Technician Electrician
* BS7671: 2018 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
* Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Systems to BS7671
* Hold a full UK driving licence
