The Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced trainer looking to lead a team and make a significant impact on the fire service? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operational Lead Service Trainer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of trainers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs that meet the evolving needs of our service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of trainers, setting clear expectations and providing effective guidance and support.
* Training Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions, ensuring compliance with national standards and best practices.
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of training curriculums, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
* Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of training delivery.
* Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Operational Competence: Maintain a high level of operational competence and ensure that your team is equipped to deliver realistic and challenging training scenarios.
* Project Management: Contribute to L&D projects and initiatives as required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in training and assessment within the fire service.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Relevant training and assessment qualifications.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in managing and developing teams.
* Knowledge of current fire service regulations and standards.
