Be “remarkable everyday” Role: Service Manager Location: Blaenau Gwent Hours: 37 Hours What you will be doing You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the support service within the service as well as providing active support in the continued development of the service. Your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people requiring support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person-centred and flexible way. Provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to give quality, enabling support to the service users. Build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action to deliver a first-class service. What you will need Experience in managing care services for adults with learning disabilities Effective communication and the ability to influence others Applicants must hold QCF Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Knowledge and experience of the social care sector Driver Essential To be passionate about supporting people to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy A good understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice Excellent IT skills Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
