Our Client
Our client is a Charity who are committed to funding over £1.5m a year to provide high quality hospice care. They are seekinga Finance Officer to work alongside the current Finance Officer, to assist the Head of Finance in all aspects of the effective operation of the finance function of the Charity.
The Role Overseeing and reconciling the weekly integration of income from EPOS system & donor management system onto the finance system (SAGE50).
Weekly bank reconciliation of all the Charity and trading subsidiary bank accounts.
Reconciling the miscellaneous accounts, such as Ebay and Paypal.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensuring the appropriate VAT treatment is applied to all transactions.
Preparation of the monthly payroll and ensure the timely running of payroll reports including the processing of payments to staff, pension funds and HMRC.
Ensuring all transaction documentation is properly filed and retained.
Managing the work of the Accounts Payable Assistant including ensuring the timely posting of all prepayments and accruals, and other recurring journals (eg depreciation); and the reconciliation of the intercompany accounts.
Responsibility for the integrity of data entered into the financial system and ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date for our reporting deadlines.
Contribute to the ongoing process of streamlining financial processes and controls.
Supporting the year end audit process.
The Candidate Relevant experience gained in a similar role.
An accountancy qualification is preferred (minimum AAT L4, or accountancy degree with some experience, or similar finance related qualification). QBE will be consdiered for the right candidate.

A salary of c£30k fte* is on offer depending on qualifications and experience.
