Our client is a business based in Colchester. They are looking for someone to come in on a permanent basis and oversee the transactional and monthly accounts for the business reporting directly to the CFORole Purpose
Managing the company’s financial operations and controls, ensuring compliance with legal and audit requirements (including HMRC). Producing accurate and insightful management information to support decision-making.
Job Description
1. Preparing accurate and detailed monthly management accounts, including full commentary and variance analysis, alongside balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Managing short-term cash flow forecasting, funding, and the day-to-day operation of bank and CID facilities.
3. Leading operational aspects of the budgeting process, including consolidating sales and cost bases, coordinating budget timelines, and preparing budgeted P&L, balance sheets, and cash flows.
4. Acting as the primary contact for external auditors and corporate tax advisors, managing year-end analysis, working papers, statutory disclosures, and related reporting.
5. Allocating project codes and conducting cost management analysis.
6. Uploading purchase invoices into the system, posting credit card and bank transactions, and processing supplier payments.
7. Raising sales invoices, managing credit control, and preparing debt reports.
