One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Campaigns Manager. This is an ongoing temporary assignment with the possibility of being taken direct on to our clients books on a fixed term contract. OVERVIEW: 1. Campaigns: To oversee the council’s largest campaign - its place campaign including its development and management to have the biggest reputational impact with our audiences as a place to live, work, invest, visit and study. To work on other campaigns and communications work as directed. 2. Strategy: To create and oversee the strategy for the place campaign working with partners, agencies and with the Director of Communications and Marketing, Head of External Communications and the Mayor’s Office. 3. Building Networks: To build a network of campaign partners, advocates and endorsers to put on events, promotional offers and promote the campaign and the borough. 4. Buy in: To get as many residents, businesses and institutions as possible to use the campaign by finding shared objectives and supporting with brand guideline use and collateral. 5. Engagement: To put on events and carry out engagement at existing borough events both as a lead, and in organising staff, to have a presence in the community. 6. Senior leadership: To represent the council in working with partners including Tower Hamlets Partnership, London and Partners, Visit Britain and hundreds of partner and stakeholders in Tower Hamlets. 7. Cross council working: To work with Communications colleagues, Communities Directorate and others to promote Tower Hamlets as a tourist destination focusing on themes such as history, culture, opportunity and community. This includes looking for opportunities to celebrate the council and borough’s achievements and offer. 8. Budgets: To manage the LoveTH budget and any other budgets directed by the Director of Communications. 9. Thought Leadership/Ambassador: To promote Tower Hamlets as a place to peers nationally and enter and win awards for our campaign. 10. Comms Leader: To be a member of the Communications Management Team and champion our Communications Strategy across the organisation.
