Job Title: Montessori Nursery Manager
Location: Angel, Islington
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Duration: Permanent / Full-time

This role would suit anybody that has experience as a Nursery Head, Deputy Nursery Head or Senior Nursery Practitioner with Management experience.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum Level 3 Montessori Pedagogy qualification (or other full and relevant Montessori qualification)
2. Minimum 1 years' Team Leadership/Management experience
3. Minimum 3 years' Nursery experience
4. Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
5. Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
6. Knowledge of and commitment to: child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and SEN/Inclusion
7. Experience of working as a key worker for a group of children and their families
8. Ability to observe, assess and report on children's behaviour

Duties:
1. To provide safe, high-quality education and care for children attending the nursery.
2. To fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis.
3. To contribute to and implement Nursery policies.
4. Effective team leadership - ability to lead a team, manage effectively and efficiently, upholding positive working relationships and be an effective mentor.
5. To manage the provision of the nursery ensuring that children, parents and the staff team work together to provide high quality childcare.
6. To be responsible for the management of day-to-day financial operations within the nursery, by meeting financial targets and managing the occupancy ensuring maximum capacity.
7. To agree and set nursery goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets.
8. To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.
9. Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
10. Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs.
11. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children.
