Attention Engineers! Are you ready to make your mark in a fast-paced, high-energy manufacturing environment?
Our client, a rock-solid manufacturing company based in the heart of Audenshaw, is looking for a Time-Served Electrical Engineer with a dash of mechanical know-how to join their night shift crew. If you're someone who thrives on fixing problems, enjoys a bit of a challenge, and wants to be a key player in keeping things running smoothly, this role is for you!
Role Rundown:
This gig is a fun mix of 70% electrical and 30% mechanical work. Your mission: be the hero who swoops in during breakdowns, diagnoses faults, and repairs equipment to get the machines back up and running like new. You'll be at the front line of keeping production rolling, so no room for slow motion—speed and skill are your best friends here.
Starting off with some chill day shifts for training (we'll get you ready to rock!), then you'll be all set to dominate those night shifts.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Reactive Maintenance: When things go wrong (and let's face it, they always do!), you'll jump into action, diagnose, and fix the problems to minimize downtime.
2. Electrical Work: You'll read wiring diagrams like a pro, troubleshoot electrical systems, and show those control panels, motors, and sensors who's boss.
3. Mechanical Work: Get your hands dirty fixing bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
4. Planned Maintenance: Stay ahead of the game by performing preventative maintenance to keep machines in tip-top shape.
5. Installations & Upgrades: Help out with new machine setups and tweaks to the old systems to keep things fresh and efficient.
6. Compliance & Safety: Keep everything up to snuff with health and safety regulations—safety first, always!
7. Documentation: Keep accurate maintenance logs and report any recurring issues to keep things smooth for the team.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
1. Time-served Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or similar qualifications).
2. Experience in reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs in a manufacturing environment.
3. The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
4. Top-notch fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
5. Experience working with PLCs, motors, control panels, and automated machinery.
6. Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (think conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics).
7. Your own tools (we know you've got them).
8. Experience in the stone industry is a bonus (you rock if you do!).
9. A willingness to start with day shifts for training and then take on those night shifts like a pro.
The Good Stuff:
Competitive salary + night shift allowance (because we know you deserve it). Overtime opportunities (make some extra cash!). Training and career development (because you've got goals, and we've got the support).
If you're ready to take your multi-skilled electrical and mechanical expertise to the next level and join a growing, vibrant manufacturing team, we want to hear from you! Apply today and let's make it happen!
